Two appointments open for Parks & Recreation Board
The city of Mitchell has two vacancies for the Park & Recreation Board effective immediately for a term to run through July 1, 2021. The Parks & Recreation Board provides advice to the Parks & Recreation Director to assist in fulfilling the administering of the public park system, recreation programs, and city forestry program.
The Board also makes recommendations on matters regarding park capital improvements and planning to the Mitchell City Council. The Parks & Recreation Board meets on the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. The terms are three-year terms that run through July 1, 2021.
To be eligible for appointment, interested individuals need to be either (1) a resident of the city of Mitchell, or (2) an owner of a business within the city of Mitchell, or (3) any property owner of property within the city of Mitchell, or (4) any person who works in the city of Mitchell with a Mitchell address.
